Hey fans, if you missed Kim Tae-yong’s LATE AUTUMN at last month’s Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, you’re in luck! The romantic drama starring Tang Wei (LUST, CAUTION) and Korean heartthrob Hyun Bin (SECRET GARDEN) will make its formal U.S. theatrical premiere at the CGV Cinemas in L.A. Koreatown for a theatrical engagement starting June 17.
In this new remake of a Korean classic, Tang plays Anna, a Chinese woman convicted of murdering her abusive husband. Granted a 72-hour reprieve to attend her mother’s funeral in Seattle, Anna meets Hoon (Hyun), a Korean “companion by call” on the run from a client’s spurned husband. Over the course of two days spent trolling the streets of sleepy Seattle, Anna and Hoon form a bond of understanding and empathy despite barriers of language and heartache between them.
