Star-Studded Opening Night Gala with Daniel Henney, Steve Byrne & More!

Opening Night for the 28th edition of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (May 10 at the Directors Guild of America in West Hollywood) will be star-studded as ever! The red carpet will be rolled out and  camera flashes ready to kick off the Festival in true Hollywood style! Celebrating established and rising Asian American stars, filmmakers, industry professionals and personalities, the Opening Night Gala kicks off with the LA Premiere of Daniel Hsia’s cross cultural rom-com SHANGHAI CALLING, starring Korean American heartthrob Daniel Henney, TV star Eliza Coupe (ABC’s hit comedy HAPPY ENDINGS), and Bill Paxton (TITANIC, ALIENS). The film is also produced by the venerable Janet Yang. The SHANGHAI CALLING cast and crew will be walking the red carpet, and present the film!

The evening’s emcee will be veteran comedian and soon-to-be TV star Steve Byrne (Vince Vaughn’s WILD WEST COMEDY SHOW and the upcoming sitcom SULLIVAN & SON). Byrne will bring the house down, continuing the tradition started last year when COMMUNITY’s Danny Pudi and OUTSOURCED’s Parvesh Cheena, emceed.

Tickets are going fast for this star-studded event, including VIP Pre-reception, the screening and the Opening Night Party, can still be purchased online here.
